William Brindley scored the first ever goal by a player in a Real Maryland jersey when he struck in the 78th minute of the Monarchs’ scrimmage against George Washington to tie the score at 1-1.

Brindley comes to Real Maryland from the PDL side, Palm Beach Pumas. The striker scored two goals for the Pumas last season.

In 2007 Brindley trained with Wrexham Football Club, a team in the Coca-Cola League II in England (4th division). Brindley played in several friendly matches, including a match against the Liverpool Reserve team. Brindley was unable to sign with the team, because he could not get international clearance.

He then played for Gresford Football Club in the Welsh Second Division. He scored a goal and tallied an assist in his debut with the club and was offered a full time contract. Brindley did not sign with the Gresford, however, because he wanted to play closer to home.

Brindley started his collegiate career with Tennessee Temple University where, as a freshman, he was named Rookie of the Year. He was also named Offensive player of the year two years in a row and was the top scorer his sophomore and junior years.

Brindley then transferred to Palm Beach Atlantic University where he played for the Sailfish. In one stretch, he scored five goals in four games.

Brindley grew up in Chestertown, Maryland, where he played at Chestertown Christian Academy Highs School. He played club ball for the Queen Annes County Outlaws.

His Favorite soccer player is Wayne Rooney and being from the Eastern Shore, it is no surprise that his favorite food is seafood.

Joining Real Maryland midway through the season, Kish has brought a rich blend of enthusiasm and experience to the team.

Born in Columbus, Ohio, Kish started his journey towards becoming a professional soccer player whilst studying at Virginia Commonwealth University. He was a regular in the back line at the collegiate side until graduating in 2001.

While at VCU, Kish also played for PDL team Carolina Dynamo before plying his trade across the pond with Welsh side Rhayader Town. It is here that he first saw his name in the headlines as a reward for scoring his first goal at the club. It was not until after leaving the Welsh outfit that Andy linked up with Coach Silvino Gonzalo for the first time at Northern Virginia Royals.

Having played under the guidance of Gonzalo for two seasons, Andy decided to enroll at Carnegie Mellon University. Upon completing his Master’s degree in Public Policy and Management, the player worked in his chosen field before returning to play under Gonzalo with the Monarchs.

Andy’s favorite club is Manchester United while he most admires English fullback Rio Ferdinand. The beaches of the Caribbean are his preferred vacation destination.
