The club really seems to be moving forward in a positive direction both on and off the field. And with pre-season only a few weeks away we find ourselves in a very good position.

As of today, we’ve signed a strong core of players that we are extremely pleased with. The first period of pre season is a great opportunity for us to look at a lot of players.

More so than previous years, there really seems to be so many more players around right now looking for clubs. The key for us, is finding the players that will suit Real Maryland.

And off the field, we announced recently our partnership with the Colorado Rapids. The situation makes a lot of sense for both clubs and for developing players. I’m sure this will be a very positive relationship going forward.

As the pace picks up in all areas of the club, we’ve now added two new coaches to our Academy program, Mat Pilkington with our U14s and Ben Ossei-Akoannor with the U15s – we're very happy they are on board. The response for our youth tryouts has been fantastic and this weekend we have our third set of tryouts at the Soccer Plex, in Germantown at 1pm.
