As we approach the Christmas and New Year period the playing season, thankfully for all of us, is now just around the corner. As soon as the ‘break’ is over everything starts cranking up to full speed.

We are in good shape going into January having set down our strategy and action plan and having identified the players that we want to bring in.

Every team has its own individual approach and philosophy, and as a young franchise we are very aware of who we are and how we want to build.

Over the next couple of weeks we will have completed our first handful of signings, all of whom I believe, will be great assets for Real Maryland and extremely effective in the USL.

The Youth Academy really has picked up speed on the back of our last tryouts. Having now acquired an U14 team to compete in the Super Y, on the back of the U15, U16’s, U17’s and 20’s, we are starting to build a real solid foundation.

The interest we are receiving from young players in the area is fantastic and compliments the competitive environment we aim to create. We look forward to our next tryouts on January 11th at the Soccer Plex in Germantown and hope to see some more promising talent. (All info on website).
