Silver Spring, MD – Real Maryland FC is proud to announce that five of its 2011 PDL Team Players have been invited to the 2012 USL PRO Combine, scheduled for January 26-29 at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL.

The players who will get the opportunity to be evaluated by USL PRO clubs, and other professional clubs such as Sweden’s Malmö FF, are Sean Coleman (Johns Hopkins University), Ryan Gracia (George Mason University), Aboubacarim Ndaw (Rockville, MD), Draymond Washington (George Mason University) and Eric Zuehsow (George Mason University).

Sean Coleman of George Washington University played 14 games accumulating 19 points with 9 goals, 1 assist on 32 shots in 903 minutes as a Forward for the Monarchs. Two-time PDL Team of the Week Player Ryan Gracia of George Mason University played 13 games accumulating 18 points with 8 goals, 2 assists on 44 shots in 1114 minutes in the Midfield and Forward positions for Real Maryland FC. Aboubacarim Ndaw of Rockville, MD played 14 games accumulating 8 points with 3 goals, 2 assists on 34 shots in 941 minutes as a Forward for the Monarchs. Draymond Washington of George Mason University played 15 games accumulating 1 point on 1 assist and had only 14 fouls as an outside attacking player from the Defense Position for Real Maryland FC.

“I am very proud of all the players I had this past season who stepped on the field for us,” Real Maryland FC Head Coach Silvino Gonzalo said. “We wish all players the best of luck and look forward to another positive year in 2012.”

The IMG Academies soccer facility, which regularly houses Major League Soccer teams for preseason training, will provide great support for players as they try to reach the next level.

They will be trying to follow in the footsteps of the 19 players from the 2011 USL PRO Combine who went on to secure professional contracts both in the United States and overseas after last year’s event.

The Monarchs will hold their third and final “Open” PDL Team Tryout in February after holding two previous open tryouts that were at full capacity in November and January.

Real Maryland FC is a proud member of the United Soccer Leagues where it participates in the Player Development League and the Super Y League.
